1976 Thunderbird AC issues

Post by Ryan36620 »

Got my ac converted but am having issues out of the blower circuit. Verified ac clutch engages, and the blower kicks on for about 8 seconds and then immediately stops. Verified the voltage output on the cable at 12v and then 0 once it runs for that short amount of time. Verified that the resistor is all good, it's a new switch so all new wiring there for the fan speed. I saw on the diagram there is a breaker, I have no idea where it's at and would appreciate any advice or direction! Thank you!

It sounds like your describing a blower motor control module issue on a MN-12, when the blower comes on and shuts back off, I know some people also call that module a resistor, I'd consider swapping out "IF" a '76 Bird uses one, would'nt know why not or uses something like it, every '76 Bird I ever saw had automatic climate control (ACC).............
