Hi, There are plenty of used clocks on the internet. I would buy one and send it out to rebuilt. Then you know it's rebuilt and ready to go.I have sent a few to rebuilders. I may even recommend QUARTZ conversion. Good Luck

OK, this is going to be strange.

In response to my post above, I was contacted by "scottfgs" who said he had one and to send him $100, inclusive of shipping.

After a time, he asked for more money, which I declined and asked for my money back.

It's now been 5 1/2 weeks and now he's not responding to my inquiries.

First, can someone do a wellness check on this person? Does anyone know him?

Second, any suggestions on what I should do?

I think you are able to do a Forum search for "scottfgs" and see he is a relatively recent member of VTCI Forum (less than one year), with only 4 postings, all of which are about items for sale. Try to read all his posts also. I realize I can, but do not know if normal members are able to.

I have received no complaints or anything positive either. If this transaction does not work out for you and you think you are being scammed, PLEASE SEND ME A PERSONAL MESSAGE! I will ban him from the form as this behavior is not acceptable!!! Zero tolerance in matters like this.

I really appreciate a Personal Message to keep this out of view of the normal members. Best IMO for him to just disappear if he is a scammer and does not deliver.
