1967 power steering pump leak

Post by Mikem67 »

I have owned my T-Bird for about 10 years, but I am new around here. Looks like a great resource!

I have a leak from one of the hoses going to/from the cooler. I want to replace it, but I have no idea how to remove this type of clamp.

Also, is there a good source for the hose?

That is a Zinc Ear Clamp and is original, and if you are careful, can be reused.

Remove by inserting a small pick or pocket screwdriver, the like in the opening, and rocking it back and forth.
Watch this and you will see what needs to be un-done.
