1964 brake hub stud size

Post by dspinner »

Hello ALL I just replaced the old brake drums on my 64 front end.Problem is the new drums are thicker, therefore the original size wheel stud splined /knurled end is to short to fit through the hub and drum.Does anyone know what size stud I should be searching for? thanks spinner

Hi - I had the same problem when I replaced the front drums on my '64. I found some Tapco long-barrel studs at Thunderbird Headquarters that worked well. The part (sku) number is B1107A. The dimensions of the lugs are 1/2"- 20 X 1-11/16". Good luck!
