Location for Electric Fan Temp Switch Sensor?

Where have you guys placed the temp sensor for your electric fans? I've got a spare hole behind the thermostat on the intake. Could also put something in line with radiator hose I suppose (bottom, top, or does it matter?).

I had them add a second temp sensor bung to the intake when the fab shop welded in all the fuel injector ports.

i plumbed in a sensor on the heater hose.
