Intake Manifold to Carburetor Gasket
I probably looked up a hundred or so videos including Holley and Edelbrock none from what I have searched discuss in detail how many gaskets are used between the manifold and carburetor begging with the flange gasket, e.g., between the manifold and flange gasket a gasket? between the carb. and flange gasket, a gasket? 3 gaskets, 2 gaskets, 1 gasket, as many as you want gaskets? I cannot find a source for an answer, can the answer be found here?
Re: Intake Manifold to Carburetor Gasket
I'm unclear as to what you mean by "flange gasket".

Re: Intake Manifold to Carburetor Gasket
Starting at the intake manifold, it is: Manifold --> Gasket --> spacer --> gasket --> Carb

I agree, jtschug's description is correct.

Re: Intake Manifold to Carburetor Gasket
The original iron manifold on the 66 390 Bird is a 4 hole, I replaced that 4 hole for an Edelbrock dual plane square bore 2105; putting my Holley 4160 on the manifold, the carb. overlaps the manifold, it can be easily taken off by lifting on the overlap, this overlap may be causing a vacuum leak even if its "nicely gasket up", this may be my problem, I installed a Edelbrock 2732 adapter plate I put a dual plane gasket under the plate and a four hole on top of the plate., then the carb., doing this with the plate has my Holley sitting flush without the overhang, it may work with this combination.
