4-Link Suspension

Post by sacredsteel »

Thinking of bagging my 61 and going to a 4-link rear suspension and have some questions for those of you that have done this. Would you go with the Triangulated or the Parallel 4-link set up and why? Looking at the Ridetech universal since there is no kit for these Thunderbirds that I can find. Also, I think I read somewhere that someone used the Galaxie set up with some modifications but can’t find much on this either. I can fabricate and weld and understand I’ll need to reinforce the areas of the frame where the brackets will be welded to. Also, any tips on the installation would be helpful as well.
Thanks

That looks like a "universal" 4 Link kit.

We just need someone to engineer mounting brackets/Crossmember, arm length and axle brackets.
