Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
Hopefully an easy question.
I need the connector for the wire to the oil pressure sender unit. The sender has a T-shaped lug. Mine is missing from the old wiring harness.
Are replacements available anywhere? I've searched the internet and this forum for quite awhile.
Whats the alternative? A sender with a threaded post I'm assuming.
This little dude has become a pain!
Thanks for any tips or leads.

You're wanting a female spade lug terminal to attach to the end of the sender wire. Go to your local auto parts or hardware store and look through the electrical section. Look for the blister packs of crimped-on terminal ends and pick one sized for the smaller wire gauges (12-16 ga).

G'day.
From what I found is that you can purchase one but the coloured wire is not correct. I ended up making my own with the moulded rubber end. I have some spares if you like. It has a new single plug and a small length of wire so it can be attached in the original wiring harness out of sight.

Working on fuel delivery inside the engine compartment. I replaced the fuel pump and in close proximity found a female spade lug dangling, plus what looks to be an oil pressure sending unit (?) atop the oil filter canister empty of any connection. I’d normally expect to see a male spade connector to connect the female lug, but don’t here.
Before concluding that the dangling wire connects to sending unit, I thought I’d ask: connect female lug directly to sender?

Re: Oil pressure sender wire connector
G'day.
Yes that is correct. The female terminal goes over the top of the oil pressure sender.
The male end goes into the female plug that should be located near the front of the left hand rocker cover.
There is three wires that come out of the wiring harness that runs along the inside edge of the left hand rocker cover, one (Red with a green stripe) for the coil, one ( Red with white stripe ) for the temperature sending unit and one ( White with red stripe ) for the oil pressure sender. That is assuming that your car is a '63. '61 and '62 are different colours.

Re: Oil pressure sender wire connector
Disclaimer on that part number, it appears the insulator has changed in the four years since I purchased this for my last build. I purchased two different brands and neither fit. The slot in the bottom of the insulator is too small to allow the terminal to slide over the oil pressure sending unit. I removed the insulator and performed surgery with my sander and utility knife, results are not pretty but it works!claybreaker 144 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:48 am The part number for this connector is S2292 Standard Motor Products.
