Brake vibration

Post by Pcahill42 »

56 Bird - Terrible vibration when brakes are applied. Every part in the braking system is new, as well as the entire from end. New drums twice, turned twice. New wheel cylinders, shoes, master cylinder, lines (all). Manual brakes - Any ideas

If I understand that the drums were turned or cut twice, possibly they are worpped.

New brake shoes also?

If so, were they matched to the diameter of the drums?

Not usually necessary, but occasionally shoes with a diameter smaller than the I D of the drums will chatter a lot when applied.
PLEASE invest a few bucks and buy all the shop manuals for your car. Definitely will save you much time and be an education.
