Rear brake drum machining

G'day,
I thought that I would have a go at machining the rear brake drums on my 63 bird, I purchased a axle from a later model Ford car, made up a adapter plate and mounted it in a my lathe between centers and used that as a arbor to mount the drum to.
I machined the drums, replaced them back on the car and everything seems to be OK, Time will tell.

Perfect way to do it. Looks like the drum just fit!

Yeah I had to keep the drum close to the headstock as it wouldn't fit further down the bed of the lathe because of the ways.
