Passenger power seat

Post by vacreeper »

Does anyone know if a drivers side power seat base can be "reversed" and used on the passenger side? Thanks

The base will fit just fine. You will need to run power under the carpet and relocate the switches. In front works well with a fabricated bracket.

Thanks for the info. A Bird showed up in my local wrecking yard and I wanted to be sure I could make it work before I bought the seat.

You can install the drivers side power switch on the right side of the seat frame so it is correct the wires will have to be cut between the switch and the plug and switched around to get te revese operation.

Jim, thanks for the reverse switch info. Without it I could just picture sitting down in my new seat and pushing the "back" button and going forward. Strong words would have followed. You saved me much aggravation. Regards, Steve
