Early 1960 rear quarter trim vertical bar ornaments

I am restoring an early model 1960 convertible that had rear quarter panel ornaments removed and holes filled. I am wanting to install correct vertical bars that are attached with screws.
I can purchase reproduction bars without screws supplied.
Are these bars acceptable and if so what type screw was used to attach?
I have late model bars but couldn't figure out at first why they wouldn't fit holes that had been filled.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
