(77-79) Carburetor 351W vs 400

Post by 7879Tbird »

Is there any difference between the 351W 2 bbl carburetor and the 400 2 bbl carburetor?

The tuning may be different, but is it the same carb? Can one be taken off a 351w and bolted on a 400 and vice versa?

Thanks in advance.

If the carb from the 351W is the stock Motorcraft unit installed from the factory, then it will bolt to the 400-2v motor: same carb.goes to both engines even though the engines are from different 'families.'
