Well ya kept us waiting long enough! Just kidding buddy I know you were busier than a ten-pronged owl.

Looks like the quantity and quality of cars is outstanding, must've been a pleasure for all you judges to inspect those fine rides!

Thanks Art! Got back home OK, now I have a true appreciation for Chicago traffic and the benfits of my Nuvi. And maybe more so an appreciation for a good set of walking shoes and a comfortable chair afterwards.

Two days was not long enough, and I really missed out on seeing anything outside of '61-'63s on Friday: we had 15 '61-3s to look over between 10 am and 4 pm, so by the time our team was finished the show field had been released.

For those I didn't have enough time to connect or chat with, my best wishes for a safe trip home.

Lots of great photos Vic! I like the silver/grey color on the 1961.

Awesome pics Keith !!! :hello1: I believe the attendees had a fine time and truely enjoyed a 'jam packed' schedule of museums, Volo Auto, Chicago Boat Rides, Theater, Golf and much more.

As Keith said above, both of us should have more pics to come from the Awards Dinner Sat. night.

Stay tuned

Thanks for the pictures.
I noticed the empty slot where my t-bird was supposed to be.
We skipped the Int'l as our 1st grandchild was born Saturday AM.
Looks like all had a good time.

It was good to see old friends and meet new people for the last 5 days. Art we hardley ever saw you in the hospitality room. They kept you very busy day and night. Even so it is good to be home and sitting down.

There was a hospitality room? Oh, yeah, the rooms with all the food, drinks and door prizes that I only got to see a couple of times between judging, roaming the show field and sleeping

At least next year I'll hopefully have more time in Portland (and it won't conflict with a college football Saturday and a can't-miss swap meet/car show Sunday at home  )

I just want to say thank you to all that came out and it was a pleasure to meet so many people from the forum and be able to put faces to names. Because I have 3 young children (my flight crew) I dont know the next convention I will be going to but I feel that I made quite a few new friends this weekend. For those that could not make it I am sorry to say it but you missed a great event. The selection of cars was excellent from cars that are a diamond in the rough to cars restored by OCDers there was something for all. You also missed out on meeting a great bunch of people.
A 66 Thunderbird is cool. A Sapphire Blue 66 is a beautiful car. The 428 engine completes the package.
