'56 TB Dual Master Cyl. Qustion

Post by fijidad »

Some time ago I bought a kit to install disk front brakes with a dual master cylinder.

Here's my question:

The distance between the DS exhaust manifold and the new dual master cylinder is an inch at best.

Any thoughts on how to isolate the master cylinder from the heat of this header?

Check in the Modified forum. Mark R posted some great guidance for exactly this project.

CASCO has a longer than stock heat shield for dual M/Cs that may work for you. #2137L Stainless Steel $20.95

Thanks Ward 57. I looked at that on-line and don't think that is going to shield the side of the master cylinder I'm concerned about.

I'm going to check out the suggested modification Mark R proposed and see what I can come up with.
