Greetings,
My late Father had this sitting in his garage and we stumbled across it recently.
From what I could find it is a 1957 Ford 312 Y-block.
It has been sitting in his concrete floor shed protected from the elements.
My Mom has no knowledge on where it came from or where he got it.
Wanting to sell it if anyone is interested?
Looking to get $750

Re: 1957 312 Engine
Just going by the block numbers, it could be either a 57 312 or 292. Either way, going by the photos, it would be a good deal for anyone living in the St. Louis area.
If you can get a mirror and place it just beneath the coolant crossover in front of cylinders 1 &5 at the front of the engine, you should see ECZ-G, which would confirm that they're the big-valve heads found on all 57 Y-blocks. Although the rare supercharged F-Code engines also had big-valve heads, the number is different because they had the largest (82cc) combustion chambers.
