Post by farmerdick »

Looking foe a good lower radiator air deflector panel (the one that has the oval inspection cover attached. Also looking for a good left air intake
tube that runs from front of grill under fender to vent opening in kick panel.

Both parts you are looking for are hard to get and could be pricey.

Try the parts suppliers CASCO, Hill's or Prestige. They have used parts and my have what you are looking for.

In addition:
Adrian Lor1 570-709-0821
Ton's Classics 515-321-0767
Bob Schermerhorn 518-392-2472 or 386-668-8930

I have dealt with all three with no problems.

Both parts are being reproduced, but they are made of fiberglass. Considering the location (road exposure) of the deflector, it's unlikely to find a quality piece that's been removed from a car that's being parted out.

In addition to the above, I suggest looking at ebay. Lot's of stuff there, including early Tbird parts. That is where I found my factory jack.

CASCO lists the deflector (actually lower fan shroud) and it doesn't say plastic which CASCO usually notes if it is plastic

Paul, I don't think the OP is inquiring about the lower fan shroud. He's looking for the panel under the front bumper that has the removable oval inspection plate. Part # 8310 (Concours) is the Radiator Gravel Deflector, and the reproduction is made of fiberglass ("Call for Pricing"). The oval Radiator Gravel Plate that attaches to the Radiator Gravel Deflector is Part # 8311-R ($8.95). The description doesn't say what it's made of.

I hope this helps.

Maybe I misunderstood what he was asking about.
