This 66 Thunderbird spent it's life in southern California. Transported to NY last year. Many of you know of all the restoration work I have done. No winters or bad weather. Kept in climate controlled garage. Original candy apple red color and body are in very nice condition. Accident free and rust free. All factory spot welds are present. Hood, trunk and doors open and close as they should. All body panels line up evenly. Original drive train, 390 4bbl engine, C6 tranny and 3.00 rear. Starts right up and the choke works fine. Drives straight, and shifts smooth. Interior lights, head lights, brights, tail lights, brake lights, trunk light, back up lights, front and rear sequential directionals all work fine. AC, heater, 3 speed blower, vents, clock, windows, wipers and washers, slide away steering wheel and the Highway Pilot cruise control system all work.
Only 10% of all 66 Tbirds were equipped with the Highway Pilot cruise control system. Air conditioning was converted to 134A and blows ice cold. Original optional Stereophonic 8 track AM system was internally upgraded to AM/FM with an aux connection for your phone. All works great including the 8 track player! Appearance is totally stock. Nicely detailed engine compartment, interior and trunk. New seat foam and covers professionally installed. Optional rear fender shields and deluxe 66 hubcaps. New factory style exhaust system with resonators. New shocks, tires and battery. New oil, fuel and air filters. Just tuned up with new spark plugs, points, condenser, rotor, distributor cap, coil and spark plug wires. Original invoice, window sticker, shop manual, owners manual and California black plates are all included. Excellent condition. $22,500 or best offer. If interested please send me a PM or give me a call at 607-267-7913. Thanks! Ed

Re: 1966 Thunderbird for sale
Looks great! It seems unusual that the original buyer ordered it with A/C and cruise control but not power windows.
Re: 1966 Thunderbird for sale
Just reduced price to 24k OBO. It seems the original owner bought it in Nebraska then cruised to Southern California. Cruise, AC and 8 track stereo are perfect options for cruising America's highways. No real need to open the windows much. That being said, the windows open and close easily.
