Continental kit

Post by thundermax »

What is is less painful way to remove and reinstall the Continental kit on a 56? I’m in the process of installing the 2 piece wire wheels on the car. Thanks!

Pull the hubcap and unbolt the wheel from the carrier, then remove wheel and cover as a unit. Have a soft place to lay it down on so you don't scratch the cover.

Is it possible to raise the continental kit up slightly as mine hits up against the trunk lid when locked ahead and gets scraped against bumper when released back or is there another solution?

Look underneath and see if the mounting brackets are slotted, I believe they are.
