4 wheel disc conversion issue on 61 tbird

Post by Papagary »

Help!
I own a 61 thunderbird and changed all drum brakes to discs. I get hardly any pressure to the rear calipers. I bought one off the kits on ebay from CCP. I very little brake pedal without the engine running , but with the engine on , the pedal bottoms out. The kit is obviously a corvette master with what claims to be pv4 control valve. I am running a 9 inch booster. The front brakes retain decent pressure. Ichecked all connections with no leaks. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank

Did the kit come with a combination valve? Its possible the rear circuit tripped when you were bleeding them if you didn't install the bleed tool. This would cut off the brake fluid to the rear circuit.

I ran the test light touching the probe to the valve switch, no light, I touched the probe to the chassis got alight.
