Wire harness restoration

Post by dgalietti »

Im working on my body harness right now.. im curious what everyone does for all of the connectors, terminals, fuse box. Etc. I am looking for the best possible corrosion protection.

So far i have cleaned and wrapped the harness, cleaned all of the connectors and fuse box with vinegar and a wire brush, and then applied deoxit d5 to all of the terminals. It seems to have very good reviews.. but im a bit skeptical.

I saw a video of a guy that used liquid tin to coat terminals and that seems perfect.. but those are copper terminals. I have no idea what ours are made out of, but most arent copper. I dont know it it will stick.

Any ideas or tricks that i havent heard of?
