Engine Steady Rest Brackets

Post by GregL »

Hi Guys,
I am ready to install the engine in my '57 but I'm a little unclear on the steady brackets. They appear to fit either side and I've done an extensive image search without luck. So I don't know which bracket goes on which side of the block. Appreciate the help.
Cheers, Greg

Check the Concours Auto Parts catalogue. It shows a picture of both the right and left steady rest bracket.

I was having some problems with where everything went (including the steady rests) when putting my engine back in my '57 so I bought this manual.

Its been a big help with many of the details that I had forgotten. While I posted a link to the Concours site, I think most vendors carry it.
