55 Tbird wheel options -new member

Asking for input on wheel options on rear, I though 15x7 with 3.75 backspacing would work using American Racing VN2155765 wheels but will rub fenderwell.
Any suggestions please . Thanks from South Carolina

I have Vintage Wheel Works V50 15 x 7 wheels, mounted on 215/70R15 tires, on my 55. The backspace is 3.875 (3 7/8) inches. Even with new springs, bushings, and shocks, the sidewall was uncomfortably close to fender-well lip. Although it might not have been necessary, I pulled the new springs and had them re-arched, thereby increasing rear ride height by approximately 1 1/2 inches. No problem, now.

What size tires are you hoping to mount on your wheels?
