INTERNATIONALS part deau

Post by RAVEN »

Time for a new Nationals thread.
Who is going? Who has booked their hotel? What are the activities?
I know its early, BUT IT IS time to plan.
ME/I am working on being there with my Bird, (Many have asked if I have one!). Its still in the paint shop with a full strip, but any and all parts cleaned and ready to go back on. It will be a tight schedule, but possible.
Lets hear it from the masses on who plans to pitch up. GO TEAM GO.

We're planning on attending.
Most likely with the '05...she doesn't like the '65 for distances anymore.

Randy, glad to hear. Me, still waiting for car from paint shop, what has been done so far looks good. Quality takes time, but deadline is fast approaching. I "FEEL THE SQUEEZE". Something tells me Murphy is going to intervene and kill the project.
Guess this means I will have to buy some stocks in Budwieser, and use the dividends to buy BEER. Or is it Miller Lite? to drown the sorrows.

OK, I posted back in March on who is going to Atlanta in September, few have posted. Not sure on who has registered nor how many, but this is a new area for an event and it would be nice to push to support the effort of the SE.
I am for sure going, but not sure on, with or without a car. Still working on building the girl in my nursery nest. Long way to go.
If you have not booked the affair, consider it as a possible event.

See you in September

Well the 2017 Nats have been finished. Close call on whether it would have happened with IRMA blowing wind up everyones skirts.
40 odd cars on show field, with some SUPRISES for some. I did not get any pictures as was to busy with other items on the agenda. Hope others will post.
In my observations there were some pretty nice cars on display, and the winners went home very happy.

Hope everyone made it home OK, and see you next year, if the plans come to be. The plans seem doable, but will be a challenge, will have to wait to see.

To all, just noticed that I did not update this section on photos my wife took. Did not realize she had, as I was busy showing my car and et al. I found that the file was to large to post here so look to Facebook for my submission of photos.

Or you could find a resizing program, scale them down and put up here, but that'll mean doing some work. Bummed I couldn't make it, but then again
"the boss" wanted me to back off for a few years (2018 probably will have something competing against the International knowing her sense of timing).

Do not worry Alan, if the rumour mill is correct, the Nats will be in your neck of the woods. Hard to have the " BOSS " say no :agrue: when it is on the calendar with all of August and September blacked out and reserved now. If need be will send you a 2018 calendar now. EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM. :grab:

Well it has been several years since a post here. To think 2017 was in Atlanta, 2018 was in Tulsa OK, and our 50th. Then came New Jersey in 2019, and the wonderful Pandemic of 2020, removing any gatherings. The Party for 2020 was to be in Portland OR, but as we know that never came to be.

Now in 2021 the adventure begins again. With the delayed International being reborne and the US border remaining closed to Canadians wishing to attend, the adventure may be small.

Watching from the sidelines, I will await a report from another member.

I will be crossing my fingers for Kansas City for 2022!

Breaks my heart that I can't be there. I'm actually typing this while finishing up a project submittal, then it's off to manage my mother's estate sale this weekend outside of Omaha. Someone upstairs just doesn't want me to go to T-bird events...I hope to hell I can get to KC next year.

Same here Alan, in my case, it is your countries border that is closed for me to attend.
I so much wanted to be there.
One reason is the fact that the Club is at a cross roads, with the Prez and Vice Prez both stepping down, and an opening of 3 Directors; two of which are appointed with a conformation vote.

Hoping all goes well.

Also best of luck with your mothers affairs.
