Brake Light Bulb Replacement
1963 Landau - Both brake been working no problem for about 5 months. Last drove it 2 months ago, but when I started it this morning (tough to get going), the passenger brake light was inop. How do I get to it to check/replace? TIA
Re: Brake Light Bulb Replacement
My Tbird is a 1962. To change tail light bulbs, remove taillight red lens for access to the bulb. Your '63 is probably the same? 4 screws in the lens hold it all together. Shown and described in the 62 shop manual, pages 10-4 and 10-5. Also check the Electrical Assembly Manual.

Thank you!!
Re: Brake Light Bulb Replacement
Is the red or the white LED brighter once installed behind the red lens?
Re: Brake Light Bulb Replacement
According to Superbrightleds.com , you should use a red LED behind a red lens for maximum brightness.

Re: Brake Light Bulb Replacement
WOW!!! Used the 1157R LED bulbs and what a nice difference. I always worry about those folks that "I didn't see any brake lights Officer".
Re: Brake Light Bulb Replacement
Great!!! Glad that worked out for you.

Re: Brake Light Bulb Replacement
The red LED is the way to go for your tail lights. I used United Pacific Part #36470 with great results on my '62.
