69 Thunderbird / Fuel Injection
My 69 has a 429 Thunderjet engine. It runs very well at a normal speed. My issue is it seems sluggish when going from a dead stop. Not sure if its a timing issue or carburation. Thinking of putting on electronic fuel injection. Has anyone done this? Any issues?

Re: 69 Thunderbird / Fuel Injection
You'll want to ask this question in the Modified section for 67-71s for the FI issue. Moderator may move message to there. If you're still running the original Autolite 4300 they have their quirks, and I believe sluggish acceleration may be a symptom of the need for at least a good cleaning or overhaul. Start with the simple things before going overboard by throwing money into parts that may put you "upside down" in your spending on the car.
