Starter fitting with Sanderson Headers

Hello,
I am currently restoring a 61 tbird. I am posting under 64-66 forum because I upgraded my starter to the short nose that is on the 65&66 and put in the 184 tooth flex plate. I had my motor out and decided to get the Sanderson Headers that a lot of people on this forum recommend. Last weekend I got my motor put in and went to put the starter on and it did not fit with the headers.
I was wondering if anyone else that has a 65 or 66 with these headers has run into this issue? If so or if not, can you let me know what starter you have or got?
I think a high torque mini starter would fit but I really don't feel the need for it or want to spend the money unless that's my only option.
