Front Coil Springs

Post by Rt.146 »

Do the coil springs have rubber cushions on the bottom of the springs, what would the purpose be for them? I know there are cushions for the leaf springs. Would someone know if any other rubber parts are associated with the springs?

New insulators go on the top and the bottom of the spring. https://www.parts123.com/parts123/dynde ... uKeY=AABDC

The Bird Nest diagram is showing just one cushion/isolator at the top, from what I read this is an important cushion! In a series from John working on his T-Bird coil springs there are two isolators, like you posted I would rather replace the foam rubber cushion with polyurethane cushions which are more durable than the foam rubber cushions. Would anyone know if they are being made for our cars?
