Hi everyone,
Had a great mechanic fix my top (new pump, motor, one cracked hydraulic line). I was just showing a neighbor how the top operates and got stuck with the trunk and flip panel open and top halfway down. 2 people held down the farthest rear switches and we got it sorted out.
Anyone out there have advice on using the trunk when you don't want to take the top down? The owner's manual is pretty light on advice. What do you do (and don't do), when you only want to open and close the trunk on a convertible?

Use the top up/down switch to open and close the deck lid. Just stop before the top starts to move.

Sounds from your question that your trunk lid and top operation is not working correctly. If you just want to put items in your trunk when the lid will open with the top up and close without any switches being manually held you will be able to put things in the trunk.
