does anyone use a kill switch on their vehicles? Any recommendations?

Re: kill switch
Do you mean a thing that sticks through the body (doubtful) or a battery disconnect?
I believe many of us use the latter.

Re: kill switch
Russ , You can pick up kill switch’s at auto parts stores that cut off at the battery. It may be just as easy to run a few check while you are standing by the battery.
Example , bad diode in the alternator can cause a drain.

I use the same one Scott showed you. Every time I park the car in garage I use the battery disconnect and then also hook up my battery tender..Good Luck..
