‘66 C6 Throttle Stop

Anybody have any clue on where the throttle stop bracket mounts? Can’t hardly see anything between the darkness and grime. Every search and reference I’ve found is for earlier birds, so nothing is really lining up.

The 66 bump stop bracket bolts on to bell housing utilizing the bolts that hold the bell housing to the rear of the engine block.

In the photo you can see the bolt from the bell housing to the left, but that looks like it’s a bit too far to utilize for the 66 bracket. I am still waiting for the part to arrive, so I suppose I’ll wait and see.

Just finished getting everything installed. It all fit! Easily the most insane amount of contortion work I’ve ever done in my life.

I’ll post pictures in the morning for anybody else who ventures to do this on a ‘66. The pedal no longer hits the floor, the car shifts like new, and I hit 60 in a little bit under 6 seconds now. I’m happy! Easily the biggest return on a single repair I’ve done to this car.
