Headlight adjustment spring

Post by Rt.146 »

Would a headlight adjustment spring from a 66-69 Mustang fit a 1966 T-Bird or is there another spring from a different model of Ford that would work?

Can't hurt to give it a try, I suppose, though a spring from a full-sized Ford of the era probably has a higher chance of working.

I ordered a couple of headlight adjustment springs from C & G Ford Parts, for Fords from that time they look about the same, hope they work. Someone else a few years back in the forum ran into the same problem the spring went "ping" into the body never to be found again. I was putting tension on the spring until my neighbor figured it out for me, the headlight assembly goes in as one piece, bucket , ring, bulb then the spring rather easily without tension hooks on the ring.

A headlight adjustment spring for a 65-68 Mustang will work as a replacement headlight adjustment spring for the 66 T-Bird.
