Weatherstrip over door dosn't fit

Post by 62Bigbird »

I bought a 1962 T-Bird and the previous owner had replaced the weatherstrip over the doors. I bought new weatherstrip and it also pushes the windows out so the door shuts hard, and when it is shut there is a gap between the window and the rear vent window. The vent windows appear to be pushed in because the window is pushed out. Any suggestions how to fix this problem? Where can I take it to get it fixed? Or, any other advice you can give me would be appreciated. Right now I am suffering buyers remorse. Thanks.

My 61 had the same issue there was a gap"space" between the back drivers side, I took it to a body shop near my house, They were able to adjust the door and weather strip....
