Autolite Parts

Post by Karl »

G'day.
Does anybody know about the small brass washers that are on the horn of the Autolite carburetor.
Washer choke rod seal.jpg
They are called "Washer - Choke rod seal" - part # C4AZ-9C771-A.
Together with a fiber seal they help to seal the air around the choke rod. there is supposed to be two, one either side of the fiber seal.
The only ones that I have seen are a round ones but in the Master Parts Catalog it gives the dimension as being rectangle, 0.50" x 0.66" x 0.15" thick. I made my own up to recondition a carb that I have.
Does anybody know if Ford started with one or the other and then changed at a later date.
If so is there another part # for the round one's.

You might try one of these 2 guys. Both have been helpful to me.

Ed Jenkins at galaxie352fe@yahoo.com. He is Ed of the Ed’s Carburetors forum which appears to have been abandoned after its transfer to Tapatalk. My impression.

Mike of Mike’s Carburetors. Easily found on the web.

Good luck.
