63 Dash Frame alteration

Post by Greg Dyer »

Does anyone have written instructions or a diagram for altering a 63 dash frame so it can be used with the reproduction 62 dash pad?

I purchased the pad and the combo door panels years ago. I recently contacted a Thunderbird vendor asking about a used 62 frame. They asked me why don't I just trim my 63 frame, and I told them I heard it was problematic to do. Their response was to tell me the dash pads they sell include instructions on how to trim a 63 frame. I asked them if I could purchase a copy of the instructions and was quickly told no.

Surely someone out there has these written instructions showing exactly how to trim the 63 frame.

Thanks,

Greg,
Who told you the instructions come with the pad? I am looking at getting one soon and if no one has one I will send you a copy when I get mine.
