Mr. Mills will be happy to get to Kelowna; it's supposed to snow in his area today! :coldcold:

Arrived last Saturday and started my party with meeting up with Ken Carr and clan at his home in the hills. Then Lorraine and I headed off for a mountain tour thru Revelstoke, Lake Louise, Banff, and are travelling south in BC. We are a day away from Kelona, and hoping to meet up and start PARTYING.
The host hotel looks good and is a stone through from the airport, very convient. (across the street)

The 2015 international convention in Kelowna BC has been concluded, and was a great success! First I'd like to let the group know our webmaster, and friend Terri McNeill was recognized for all her hard work and dedication to the VTCI with an Honorary Lifetime Membership. Terri maintains this site, publishes the SCOOP magazine, and is a past president. Congrats Terri! After some additions and no-shows, 70 cars were judged. One either smart, or lucky owner decided to first re-join the VTCI, and then after the judges meeting, switched his class from driver to primary. That 64 convertible earned enough points for a first place, giving the car a senior status, but also took best of show-driven! Our forum friend, and tbird guru Jim Mills took the best of show-trailered. I'd like to personally thank everyone that helped with judging, it was a lot of work! And a special thanks to Raven (Wally Kent) and Graham Hurley, European Regional Director. Wally judged engine compartments, then filled in if another judge had to leave because his car was being judged, and later got the exterior judge started on the next car while the team finished up with the current car. Graham was Assistant Captain, meaning he had to review all judging sheets, then debrief the owner on what we found with his tbird. These guys were in the sun from start to finish, thanks guys, you're the best!
It's gonna be cool when it's done
And now it's really cool !!

Congratulations on yet another win Jim, and thanks to Bob and all the judges who help to preserve the standard of Thunderbird authenticity.

And also a big thumbs up to the host club, the Okanagan gang, for putting on an extremely well-run and fun week of activities. If all VTCI chapters had the spirit of this crew, we'd be assured of a healthy club for years to come!

Look forward to seeing full results and of course some of the many photos that were taken during the event.

It was fun, to be back in the thick of it on the show field. Was fuzzy on some things after 20 odd years, from sitting on side lines, not being a judge, but Bob had me under his wing.

I'd say there's a LOT of us who'd really like to start seeing pictures and results, especially those of us who couldn't be there.

Hello fellow vtci members. Do any conventions come up towards Massachusetts? Would love a chance to meet some of the members. Looking forward to some pictures :)

The North East region has not hosted a event for a number of years now, it is up to a chapter to host the event.

2016 - Kansas City area, to be hosted by Vintage Thunderbirds of Kansas City, dates TBD but am assuming some time in summer as several members are teachers and have been wanting dates when they can participate.
Alan is so right, and the dates for the 2016 International in KC are August 10-14. If you haven't registered, it isn't too late, but in four weeks, the deadline will have passed. So get a Registration Form from the VTCI website, the VTKC website, or in the latest Scoop. Fill it out and mail it in. Hope to see you all there.
