need a little help with Weatherstrip Door Pillar 20330
I am replacing my weatherstrip on the door pillar and struggling to understand exactly how it is oriented. As per another post, the existing weatherstrip was much bulkier and almost a foam as much as a rubber.
The new weatherstrip is much smaller and thinner but Casco and others advertise it as matching the original factory- but it looks small.
I have attached pics of the weatherstrip, my drivers door pillar and the weatherstrip in position but you will see it seems small and does not completely cover the screw holes if I orient it in what I think is the correct manner.
Sorry the order is a bit reversed, the second pic shows how the size does not seem to cover the holes and the first photo shows how I think it is oriented.
Can anyone please post photos of their pillar showing how the seal is placed and how it covers the screw holes etc?

Thanks Greg,
I have not yet got to the windscreen side seals, just the pillar on the door. It looks like mine orientation might be correct, are you able to take a shot of the door pillar one from front on as I can't quite see the detail in your third pic, so I can compare it with my second photo? I just want to check my seal covers the same amount of the screw holes in the chrome of the door, the older ones I removed seemed much 'fatter'.
Much appreciated.

Thank you sir, any chance of one of the front edge of the door looking rearward with the rubber strip on the front edge of the door pillar.? Just trying to match it up with the pics of the windscreen pillar you sent.
Also if any interest, I found the best way to remove the old weatherstrip was to tear it off then use a rubber stripping wheel to remove the weatherstrip and then I used a product called Brush Restorer (used to soften and remove old paint on brushes)- a sort of paint stripper- on a rag. This softened then removed the glue from the chrome without damaging the chrome. I obviously would no tuse it on a painted surface but for glue on chrome it worked great.

I recently tried to replace the same weatherstrip and am glad I didn't throw the old ones away. The used ones fit better and looked better than the repros. I ended up using the old ones.

thanks , that helps. I lost that option as my old ones fell apart as I removed them!

Still having a little difficulty seeing this exactly, probably my screen or eyes aren't what they used to be!
The weatherstrip has a flat side and a more curved side and so I am assuming from other posts that the flat side is glued. So if that is correct, there seems to be 3 orientations possible that make sense. I hope these three photos capture the orientation clearly. 1 2 3
Can you please confirm if it is the flat side and which of the three orientations is correct? I was assuming number 2 but a little confused. This is the drivers door pillar in all photos.
Much appreciated.

Fantastic, thanks for taking the effort. From my eye it looks like you have glued the 'curved' side Greg and maybe Carneiro_86 you have glued the flat side but both ended up in the same general orientation.
Interestingly, I received the attached photo back from the suppliers tech team and it looks like they glued the flat side but in the opposite orientation so it looks like thee is perhaps not a standard way.

FWIW, when I pulled my seals which I believe we're original (they looked the old weathered part!) The "heavy rubber bump" was at the top where the window and roofline meet. Seems to be beefier seal to keep rain from coming in.
Having changed my seals I can say it still leaks! But moreso in the door where it pools and doesn't drain towards the front. It's a pretty poor design all in all. IMHO.
