I have been asked, "Were 55 Thunderbirds undercoated from the factory?"
I have never owned a 55, but looked through the Trim and Sealer manual and the other references I have and found no documentation to support "factory undercoating".
Anyone know for certain??

PLEASE invest a few bucks and buy all the shop manuals for your car. Definitely will save you much time and be an education.

after looking in the factory and seal manual, The 56's had some sound deader add. I could be undercoating that was added.

Early Tbirds were not undercoated from the factory

Correct on no factory undercoating . A lot of the new car dealerships sold that as an option.
