Longer Wheel Studs

Post by ROYCEO »

I'm trying to locate longer wheel studs for my 55 bird. I'm running a 1/2 inch spacer behind aftermarket wheels and need longer studs than stock. Any info would be appreciated. I've tried all the local parts stores and even contacted CASCO with no success.
Thanks,
Royce

Check with tire dealers. They usually have studs, for when they have a bad one, when changing tires.

If you know any one into racing cars, check with them. I know the drag racers are required to have extra long studs and I assume other car racing association also require them. Good places to start are Jegs AND Summit.

I installed longer studs for the spacers on my 57, I spent many hours searching the web, it has been a few years, you need to figure the length you need and what thread and stud size.
Be sure to get a stud with a shank the length on your spacer. Otherwise the spacer won’t necessarily be centered when you put the wheel on.
