Should I buy the brake conversion that mounts to the original spindle

Or replace the spindle and all ???

You have a 64MY I see by your other post.
Are you thinking of converting the front drums to disc? If so, the 64 spindle will have to go. Also, depending on what kit you’re going to, the lower control arms may need to be exchanged for 65/66MY LCAs.

Some of the kits I looked at keep the orig 64 spindle but require it to be machined.
1964 Coupe Wimbledon white/Rangoon Red w/black int. Owned for 42 years. It was my folks car before that (second owners). VTCI # 12013.
