1957 Coyote conversion

Hi all. Am helping a friend to convert his '57 to a Coyote motor. Any pointers to resources and ideas would be most welcome. Thanks,

I see it's been a couple of weeks and no one has responded. I know people have installed 390 FE engines and small block Ford's (289 / 302 windsor family). The only real issues I've ever been told was getting the engine to sit without having the exhaust / manifold hitting on the steering box. I don't know the measurements of the Coyote engine but I do know that anything is possible if you have enough time, money and / or talent. One thing that might make the installation easier is to make the mdifications to install the Mustang II crossmember kit. It would require cutting the frame and welding the new unit in place. One advantage would be rack and pinion steering so that would solve the steering box problem. Another advantage (I'm guessing) would be that the Coyote engine would be an easier bolt-in. One good thing is that the '57 Birds came with 9" rear ends and it should be able to handle the coyote HP with no problem.
