55 wheel centers

I am wanting to widen the wheelbase and put more rubber on the road on my 55 driver. I can get 15X8" rims pretty cheap but need the wheel centers to weld in with the desired spacing. I don't really want to cut up the stock wheels. Does anyone know what early ford wheels I should look for that have the same centers? and maybe the years and models? The stock centers are 12 5/8" in diameter. Also would the early 14" rims have a smaller center or the same as the 15"
