Window Troubles

I just replaced the driver window motor in ou '90 Bird. It comes down a bit more than 3/4 of the way nice, smooth & fast. which then slows down. It sounds like it binds up. Going up is no trouble, nice and smooth. I don't see anything causing it to bind. What else should I look for. i don't have a manual yet, but it is on the way.

The window has a steel guide at the bottom. it's kinda hard to explain. there is a plastic tab that rides along it . I know the one in mine is broke and I have taken it apart a few times to attempt to fix it but I never seam to finnish it so I just leave it.. I thought about taking in in in the spring but I hate idiot people at the dealership tramping throught my ride . I spend so much money on it to be a trophy queen I hate to get a single scratch form some careless dealership mechanic ....LOL
