Interior lights

Bill,
This is just a guess, I think the problem may be in your headlight switch, since it turns on the interior lights when the knob is turned all the way to the left. Maybe the switch is shorted out inside.

Gas tank vent hose

Not sure if it will be the same as my 61, but mine runs up from the tank, alongside the filler neck, through a rubber grommet that holds the neck in place behind the bumper and up and over the neck at the filler. It is held there by a small loop type clip which screws onto the body just above the ca...

Red Fluid Leak

I'd bet your leak is auto trans fluid, and it's probably leaking near or at the connection of the transmission cooling lines to the radiator. Make sure the connections are tight, and if there are hoses between the lines and radiator they may need to be replaced. If there are no leaks there check the...

As far as I know Edelbrock offers two intakes for the Ford FE big block; the Performer RPM (part no.7105)and the Performer 390 (part no.2105). The RPM is a little bit taller and has larger ports than the Performer 390, and it makes more power in the 1500 to 6500 rpm range, whereas Edelbrock claims t...

Bucket seat upholstery

Thanks Alan. I've decided to put the original seat frames, skirts, hinge covers in (John at Thunderbird Ranch is rounding them up for me) and order new foam and covers. A couple hundred $ more won't hurt that much, and I agree it will be worth it in the long run.

Bucket seat upholstery

I own a 61 HT. For some reason the previous owner installed a pair of 66 front seats. Will 61 seat foam and upholstery fit on the 66 frames? If not I'd like to install 64 foam and upholstery, assuming the 64 thru 66 frames are the same. She's a beauty, but she's a driver and I'm not overly concerned...
