Re: New Radiator

I purchased mine from Concourse Parts for $189.00
I did not paint the core on mine. I did paint the top and sides. If you look real hard you can see the core but I’m not interested in originality as much as good heat transfer.

Re: Power brakes Disc brakes and Power Steering Addon

Borgeson makes a simple power steering system that attaches to the end of the steering column. Pricing isn’t to bad either.

With the radial tires, power steering is helpful when parking.

Hill's has a good reputation
I’ve been to CASCO’s shop and I agree if I wanted a shop to do my car they would be my first choice.
They don’t get the mention that Amos’s shop does, maybe it’s selmanship.

Re: Amos Minter Thunderbirds

It depends what you want in your Tbird, If you want a concourse quality cars his would be that. His reputation is second to none.
His prices may be higher, but with his cars come a prominence.
They should hold a higher resale value.
If you want a car that you can drive his may not be so desirable.

Re: wondering about these holes in the floor

The wires are for your tail lights, what year is your car?
The holes have an outline in the paint almost like a clip was in place.
Have have not seen holes like that on my 57

Re: Longer Wheel Studs

I installed longer studs for the spacers on my 57, I spent many hours searching the web, it has been a few years, you need to figure the length you need and what thread and stud size. Be sure to get a stud with a shank the length on your spacer. Otherwise the spacer won’t necessarily be centered whe...

Does sound like it could be an exhaust leak. I would remove that clamp and patch and see what you have. The Tbird suppliers sell new repop exhaust manifolds. Made a local foundries.

Re: Overheating 57

I am running the CASCO pump with Chris’s spacer with no issues. I also have an aluminum radiator that looks identical to the original. Only problem now is it tends to run a little cool in cooler temperatures. Purchased the radiator from Concours Parts painted it black. I was told by the restoration ...
