Battery ground
My battery ground was attached to the intake bolt. I recently had to put new intake gaskets on and did not reattach it there. I cannot remember where it goes.

Re: Antifreeze in my oil
I am thinking it's my intake gasket because I went thru all the bolts and 7 of them were not tight at all. In fact 3 of them were loose. So I hoping that is all it is. Taking an intake off is easier than taking that off and the heads too.

Antifreeze in my oil
I noticed that I have been getting steam coming out of my valve covers lately. I pulled the cap and there was some white slimy stuff in it. Also I had a couple of the intake bolts that were loose. Could this be a leak from my intake or a head gasket?

Re: Kick down linkage question
It's a 1966. It has a cruisomatic transmission with separate bell housing. Not unless there was a c6 with separate bell housing.

So far it's not working that way. It shifts more like a modern tranny.

Re: Kick down linkage question
Have been driving a bit more. A few things still puzzle me. As I remember I could shift into what is considered 2nd on other cars and get gears 1 to3 and gears 2 to 3 in drive. What I am getting is in drive it feels like 1 to 3 and in 2nd I get 2nd and of course low is low. I had it rebuilt a few ye...

Heating problems
Recently I was driving my 66 Bird and was having the heat go away when I went up a hill and come back when I leveled out. Not sure if this would be a thermostat problem. I had just removed my water pump for a repair and put it back on. I looked in the expansion tank taking the cap off and there was ...

Car will not start
Just the other day I did an oil change on the car. It's a 97 with a 6 cyclinder 3.8 engine. I did an oil change and had trouble because a wire harness that go thru that area were in the way. The new oil filter is a little longer than the older one. I got done with the oil change an started the car a...
