Re: New. First resto/mod prodject.
Definite a single stage master cylinder, previously replaced and possibly a truck master application used. (brake light switch mounted on top of barrel) plus a replaced brake sender due to fluted body. Booster is band style.

Nope wrong. This is on a 64 car and no dual master existed. The spacer block is a way around notching, they never were factory.

Re: trunk lid compatibility - hardtop vs convertible
Trust me, NOPE. Know a guy who tried it and hardtop panel buckled in middle. Convert lid has additional internal gusetting, do to cantilever hinge action, and lift cylinders.

Re: Small rear side windows
One small trick is to push both back seat and consol switches at the same time. Can not explain why but it has worked. I traced the wiring diagram, and it shows a possible double power feed to rear motors. If this is true, then you potentially get a cleaner power supply to the motors. The wiring on ...

Re: Meet Some Of Your Canadian Forum Members
Of the group, to my knowledge, I am the only one going to be at the BC event. Ian and I are the older longer members, where the other are still fairly new to the group. I know that in time they may start attending, but presently all are getting into the fun, and local is currently where it is at. Mi...

Re: Front End Buckles While In Reverse
Something to check is the upper control arm pivot bearings/bushings. When you engage a drive gear the torsional body twist/flex can cause a "creak". Have seen/heard this, due to the pivot being dry of lubrication. Original factory pivots were non lube and tended to dry out, causing metal t...

Re: Jack Post
Hey guys, were you aware that tyhe jack post has a detent at the top to stop over travel. SO if you are going to cut, cut the other end. A better idea would be, find the right jack, as the traveller which carries the J hook may not fit the offending post. Hey Gerry, you never asked me about your jac...

Re: Wipers - Stuck "ON"
Will try to make it as simple as possible, as it really is. the cowl is held in place by screws along its front leading edge, just at the rear of the hood. Plus 2 screws at the outer ends, covered by the doors (if closed). In your case since you have a 66, you are lucky in the fact that the wiper ar...

Re: Wipers - Stuck "ON"
If you read the link that BrianC posted, it pretty well sums up, what you are faced with. Although, an additional point to look at first is the fact that you indicated in your post that a little lubrication allowed you to move the control cable. WELL alot of lubrication and manual movement of the co...
