Fuz, I have an early build so it's the long base part. The repop, 64 only passenger mirror matches the drivers side perfectly.

Hi Bob, The Waldrons slide together like the original and the nice thing is you can get SS clamps to match so it should always look new.
I ordered one last week - I hope this is last exhaust I ever put on the old girl!

That's quite the archaeological dig Paul!
I wonder if all the fine dust is from the repaint. I know the inside of mine is so covered in dust from sanding that you almost can't tell the color anymore. Body guy says don't worry, he'll clean it up.

Looks like you got her figured out though - nice work.

I wonder how much (if any) of the voltage drop is caused by tired light switches. The part of the light switch that controls my dash lights is causing them to be too dim so I bought a new one. Think I'll take some before and after voltage measurements at the headlights and see. Maybe replace the dim...

Jim, Yes, it has the convex thankfully. The mirror seemed to give me a decent view while someone held it in place. I guess I'll find out for sure in the end. [-o<

Interesting, so is the problem that you can't adjust it enough?

To keep the voltage drop to a minimum, mount the relay as close as possible to the headlights and battery. Unless I'm mistaken, Madds missed something though - this modification will bypass the breaker for the headlights that's located in the light switch. You'll need to add one to the supply circui...

Ah OK. It was the "independent" part that threw me since we already have that up front. I'm sure some new geometry up there would sure help the handling though.

There are replacements available for some of our harnesses but they are duplicates of the originals so you wouldn't gain much in capacity. I've found it's better to add separate circuits from the vehicles system. In my daily driver (PU) I've added a number of items and they all run off a separate fu...

Thanks to Jim Mills for providing Ford drawings. My paint guy and I tried the mirror in the specified position but the wing window metal was right in the middle of my view to the mirror. We measured the drivers side mirror and found it was out from the window edge another 3/8" and further back ...

I had an electric pump mounted back my the tank for a couple of years. I died without warning with very few miles on it so I wen't back to the stocker. I figure the charging system has enough to do at idle without having to run another electric item and it was so short-lived that it just wasn't wort...

From what I've gathered after a quick Google search, the CV has a totally different kind of suspension in that it uses coil springs and all the associated hardware that's required for that kind of suspension and of course this all assumes the Vics rear end is the correct width for our birds. There's...

I like the idea of a resto mod. A car that maintains its original look and charm but performs (goes, stops, turns) like a modern performance car.
Now if my budget could just match my wants..

I put Bills on my PU truck and they made a huge difference.
I didn't know they even made them for our cars.
