Re: Wire wheels

Is the clearance the same,on both sides? Does it rub on either side, when you turn? Are you running radials,or bias ply tires?

Measure what size you need. Goggle,or go to Walmart. You should be able to find the suze you need. At Walmart, you can look through what they have,on the shelf.

Re: Radiator leak

If it us the top seam, where the top tank, fits to the coils. You might take it to a repair shop, and let them see where it is leaking. It might be possible, to repair in place. Wouldn't hurt,to get it checked out.

Re: Radiator leak

If you have a leak. Why not fix it right. You will have to in the future anyway. It won't go away. You are just covering it up temp. I wouldn't take the chance messing up the cooling system. To save a few bucks.

Re: Classic Insurance Carriers

I have mine through my regular auto, home owners insurance company. I am going to check to see how much,I am paying. I looked a at Grundy's. They seemed to be pretty reasonable. For $50k,coverage. Like $352, a year. That is about $200 less the other popular classic car insurance company.

Re: not charging

You might, start the engine, while running, disconnect the positive cable from the battery. See if it still runs, off of the alternator. If it doesn't. I would think the alternator isn't charging.

56 Tbird for sale

There is a pretty nice 56 Thunderbird for sale,in Facebook. The car is located in the Houston Tx.,area. I think they are asking $17,500. Not the original color ( bright yellow), but I thought if somebody,is interested. It might be a good deal.

Re: Door Gaskets

I don't think I would remove the doors. You could be opening more trouble, than you want to deal with. Have you tried to google, how to replace door seals. You might find something helpful there. I just don't think I would remove the doors. Just my opinion. Good luck,in what ever you decide to do.

Re: 1956 'Bird Batteries

The battery at Orielly's,comes with black caps. You might able to replace, with red,or yellow. For 1/3 the price,I think,I would give it a try.

Re: 1956 'Bird Batteries

The battery brand is Super Start 29NF. I have had it,for about 6 months. Works great. I do keep a battery tender,or it,when it is setting.
