Hi Scott I changed my selector shaft seals in the car. It's not difficult if you follow the link above. You just need to be aware that there are some parts in there that will fly out when you start to pull the shafts out. You may also need to bend or cut part of a seam on the bodywork that obstructs...

You can buy electric vacuum pumps I think Hella make some. Maybe you could use one just for the accessories. There is also a thread on one of the forums were someone has installed electrical door actuators.

Did you find out what was the cause of your electrical fault? I have the same fault and cannot for the life of me find it. I was going to check the ammeter next. Thanks
